Registration in full swing
Preparations for the fourth Integration.Life.Society – Exhibition of Rehabilitation Equipment and Technologies (ILS) are moving ahead at full throttle. From 23 to 25 April 2014, ILS opens its doors at the Expocentre Krasnaja Presnja in Moscow, offering its audience – the handicapped and people in need of care, as well as professionals, counsellors and family members – a comprehensive overview of innovative tools, concepts, therapies and recreational activities. Accompanying ILS – on 23 April 2014, the first day of the exhibition – the 6th International Moscow Governmental Conference “Equal Rights – Equal Opportunities” takes place. Here, international speakers lecture and discuss current opportunities for the integration and social participation of the handicapped, as well as aspects of handicapped-friendly housing and living.
Numerous international exhibitors will once again return to Integration.Life.Society 2014 to show their products as well as the latest developments in the areas of tools for everyday living, mobility at the workplace and at home. The exhibition area has grown and the halls are already almost sold out, however registrations are still being accepted. The focus of the exhibition is on innovative tools, concepts, therapies and recreational activities, nutrition and hygiene, as well as safety and surveillance systems, physiotherapy and orthopaedic accessories. Benefiting from the experience that Messe Düsseldorf has acquired with their international REHACARE trade fair in the Rhine metropolis, the product assortment at ILS is adapted to the needs of the Russian market.
Much work has been done in recent years on the integration of the more than 13 million handicapped people in the Russian Federation. There is a noticeably heightened sensitivity to the living situation of the handicapped, and an increased demand for solutions to the everyday problems they face. Government agencies have already implemented measures to enable this segment of the population to actively participate in education and the job market, to be integrated into social life, and to enjoy a higher level of self-sufficiency. Significant investments must still be made, however, in order to ensure a sufficient level of self-sufficiency for the handicapped population, and to reach Moscow’s goal of being “barrier-free” by the year 2020.
Next to numerous regional exhibitors, companies from European countries such as Germany and Lithuania will present their products and services at ILS on a total of 4,000 square metres of exhibition space. In addition, exhibitors from the USA and Asia – Taiwan for example – will be represented among the exhibitors. Thus the internationality of exhibitors at ILS continues to grow. Exhibitors such as Armed, Sims-2, Orto-Kosmos, Rehab, Center Bryansk and Promteh have already committed to participating. Further, delegations of visitor groups from the Benelux countries and Scandinavia have registered.
