The current 2017/18 Autumn/Winter collections, season highlights and a wide range of inspirations will be presented at GDS – Global Destination for Shoes & Accessories running from Tuesday, 7 to Thursday, 9 February 2017. The three well-structured lifestyle worlds HIGHSTREET, STUDIO and POP UP, the representative collection portfolio, the GDS Trend Programme and an informative supporting programme make it easy for visitors to leverage GDS as an impulse-generating and inspiring platform.

HIGHSTREET
HIGHSTREET presents a colourful mix of international collections. Leading global brands are presented here with their individual brand  presence. Visitors can look forward to shoe trends – from Classic to Lifestyle, and from Young Fashion through to Performance or Comfort styles. Commenting on this Kirstin Deutelmoser, Director of GDS and tag it! said: “Currently over a hundred brands have registered for GDS. With this comprehensive array we offer our visitors a representative, international line-up. Our compact and coherent structuring of the lifestyle worlds and our trend programme make work for buyers simple and efficient. I am delighted that GDS has once again been able to attract major companies like Ara Shoes, Josef Seibel Shoes, Lloyd Shoes, Mephisto, Rieker and  Schuhunion, van Lier as well as the Wortmann Group with Tamaris, Marco Tozzi, Caprice, Jana and s.Oliver. For retailers GDS is an ideal place for information, networking and orders.”
Once again presented in the HIGHSTREET lifestyle segment are big names like Birkenstock, the Bestseller Group with the brands Jack & Jones, Only, Pieces, Selected and Vero Moda, Gant Footwear, Kangaroos, Kappa, Napapijri Footwear, Pikolinos and Skechers. Other brands here include: Buffalo, Bullboxer or Vagabond.The international brand environment at HIGHSTREET is now to be extended once again with the likes of Alma en Pena, Bellò, Brunate, Bruno Premi, D’Acquasparta, Gabriele, Galizio Torresi, Högl, Liu Jo, Maripé, Melvin & Hamilton, Nero Giardini, Nicola Benson, Noclaim and Peter Kaiser. Spain is again well represented with brands like Hispanitas, Kanna, Unisa and Wonders, among others.
In the Comfort segment the following traditionally key brands will be showcasing their latest styles: FinnComfort, Ganter/Hassia, Giesswein, Haflinger, Hartjes, Jomos, Semler, Waldläufer and Wolky.

Presented in a clearly structured and coherent form the unique Kids’ segment in Hall 3 showcases a comprehensive and also international line-up of children’s collections. Major labels like Bisgaard, Clic!, Ecco Kids, Falcotto, Lurchi, Naturino, Primigi and Ricosta are presented here. Visitors can also look forward to suchbrands as: bellybutton, Bundgaard, Gallucci, IKKS, Kavat, MAÁ, Pinocchio, Pololo, Richter, Shoesme, Viking and Vingino Footwear. France’s Groupe Royer is once again represented with Aster-Mod8, Kickers Kids and Nobeez the Kids’ segment.

Other children’s collections will also be presented outside the Kids’ area, integrated into the lifestyle worlds. For instance, exhibiting in  the STUDIO segment are Moschino Kids, Mou Kids, Polo Ralph Lauren Kids and Steiff.

POP UP
The POP UP area is once again well geared up. At home here are labels that define the street style of the trendy districts of this world. Kicking off at POP UP are: 727 Cycleur de Luxe, A.S. 98, Blackstone, Blundstone, Brako, British Knights, Dkode, Dr. Martens, Fila, HUB Footwear, Hummel, L.A. Gear, Lilimill, Loint’s of Holland,. Moonah Boots, Nobrand, Palladium, Panama Jack, Project del Ray, Sendra Boots, Superga and Wednesday Whiskey.

STUDIO
Presented in the exclusive Studio World are style-shaping brands with their high-quality collections in skilled, handcrafted perfection. These include Italian collections such as: Aquatalia Calpierre, Donna Carolina, Elia Maurizi, Ernesto Dolani, Giorgio 1958, Gravati, La Martina, Moma, Patricia Pepe and Officine Creative. Representing Spain are names like: Chie Mihara, Gadea, Lola Cruz, RAS, Pretty Ballerinas, Pertini and Zinda. Other exciting brands in the STUDIO area include: ASH, Arche, Calvin Klein, Jil Sander, Navy Katy Perry, Kennel & Schmenger and See by Chloé.
Style-assured men’s collections can also be found here from the likes of Alexander Hotto, Camerlengo, Floris van Bommel and Franceschetti. Presenting exciting bag collections are such names as Abro, AU79, Heartentry, Numero 10 and Tosca Blu. Sneaker lovers will be particularly well looked after at Ama Deluxe, Candice Cooper, Crime London, L4K3, Mai Mai, Nubikk, Primabase and Zespa.

GDS Trend Programme
The GDS Trend Programme is a large information pool for retailers. The trend installations offer a plethora of inspirations for the POS and visual merchandising. Shoe trends are impressively staged and visualised here. At the same time, GDS will show visitors how to best combine the key “fashion must-haves” of the season with topical shoe fashions. The GDS Trend Talks not only provide a whole host of information, not just on the current season, but they also showcase future fashion developments.
Social Media and Blogger Activities
Together with our media partner “styleranking” GDS will once again be hosting various bloggers’ activities and information events revolving around the social web. At the Social Media Consulting event those interested can gather on advice on topics such as Influencer Marketing, Blogger Relations and Social Media Management.
Two Trend Detectors will also be sharing the latest trends and impressions from GDS with the public on Instagram to whet consumers’ appetite for shoes.
GDS 365
“GDS 365 – Digital Marketplace” is a joint project with the Berlin company “We Want Shoes” whereby GDS offers an innovative B2B eCommerce platform for shoes and accessories. Exhibitors can present themselves at the GDS Showroom at www.wewantshoes.com throughout the year. As an interactive orders, communication and networking tool this digital showroom helps buyers to implement their advance and repeat orders more efficiently 365 days a year.

tag it!
In parallel with GDS tag it! presents innovations from the private label segment. This sourcing trade show focuses on shoes and accessories, international variety as well as on a whole range of product, price and quality segments. This means it offers optimum opportunities for business on the growing market of price sensitive buyers.
