From 21 to 24 October, the event calendar will once again feature the world’s most important trade fair for the glass branch, glasstec. For this year’s glasstec edition, again approx. 1,150 companies from about 50 countries are expected. To gain an overview of the trade fair’s innovations even before its opening, the “Trendcompass” at www.glasstec-online.com will be online at the beginning of September showing the way to the exhibitors’ innovations. It lists and bundles innovations in various thematic fields. These trend categories are: “Optimisation of process and product quality in glass manufacturing”, “Innovative technologies for thin-glass production”, “Innovative and smart glass for architecture, interiors and vehicles”, “Technical glass and special glass types as well as innovative thin glass (including fibre-optic applications)”, “Lightweight and tough hollow and packaging glass”, “New products for processing in the glazier trade”, and “Recycling of glass composites”.
